COOL and blustery conditions greeted three sections of competition players at DLTC on Saturday afternoon with a sextet of enthusiastic social hitters also participating.
It just got better and better for Jeremy Harper in Section 1, his 6/4, 6/3, 6/1, 6/0 for 24/8 giving him the verdict over Bernie Frith 23/16. Lewis Ingham 21/15 was third, being the only other player to finish in positive territory.
In Section 2, Geoff Parentich with 24/13 showed impressive consistency, his 6/3, 6/3, 6/4, 6/3 resulting in victory over Gabe Kirby 21/15. Equal third with 19/16 were Peter Risstrom and Warwick Clough, edging out Darren Ingram 19/17, with Rob Aberdein fifth with 17/16.
Scott Kinnear won Section 3 with 22/11 ahead of the improving duo of James Parentich 19/12 and Max Risstrom 21/16. Newcomer Rob Fookes 21/17 was fourth, with Bec Ingram 19/18 fifth. David Rowbotham finished all-square on 16/16 to finish sixth.

Daylesford junior tennis
THE weather was nice for juniors on Saturday morning. Four sections played with 16 holes in the learners' group, taken by Adrian and Rick.
Section 1 was won by Josh Clough with 16/8 followed by Will Parentich 14/10.
Section 2 was won by Ben Galick 17/7 second was Marcus Elderfield 15/9 also Nick Avagoria 15/9.
Section 3 was won by Isobella Quilan 18/6 second was Tom Lowe 14/10.
Section 4 was won by Angus Maude 14/2 second was Jamie Kew 9/7.
