Grand effort by Daylesford PS students at Geelong swimming championships

24 Mar, 2009 11:47 AM
NINE students from Daylesford Primary School competed in the Region Swimming Championships at Geelong last Friday.

All individual swimmers gained a first or a second in their heats but although they swam expectionally they did not qualify for the next level.

However, many individual swimmers beat their personal best time by at least two seconds. Jordy Barnes beat his personal best by 7.46 seconds in the 50-metres backstroke.

The girls' relay team placed fourth in their race and the boys placed sixth.
