Walk marks mystery disappearance

04 Jul, 2006 11:30 AM
THE DAYLESFORD Neighbourhood Centre Walking Group's hike along the first half of the Three Lost Children Walking Track last Friday marked 139 years since three children wandered into the bush, never to be seen again.

More than 15 people from the group defied the cold conditions to take part in the walk.

Daylesford Neighbourhood Centre Walking Group's Bill Longley said the group was "more than happy" to tie their weekly walk in with the anniversary.

This Friday the group will complete the trail to its end at Musk.

The group has also outlined its program for the next six months. The group, catering to people of all fitness levels, meets every Friday. For more information, call Bill Longley on 5348 4014.
