THE Castlemaine and Districts Junior Football League Grand Final was held on Sunday with the Daylesford Juniors playing off in the Under 12 Grand Final.
They were up against West End and from the first bounce West End attacked immediately with the ball rushed through for the first score.
West End continued to attack the goals and were quickly rewarded with a goal.
Daylesford tried to work the ball into its forward line but Daylesford was struggling to take clean possession and West End repelled.
Tom Micklewright-Hill was working hard and Hayden Cowan was laying some hard bumps and tackles. Chevy Williams provided some good smothers and determined work.
Daylesford began to lift in the last minutes but he siren sounded before they could capitalise on the scoreboard.

The second quarter saw West End playing a better team game, continuing to back and support each other.
Daylesford needed to lift. Trent William's determined concentration and self disciplined play, along with Darcy Shewell's strong marking and long kicking, began to block the West End attacks.
Matthew Callahan took some strong marks, Hayden Cowan continued to tackle strongly and Tom Micklewright Hill continued to pick up many possessions sending the ball to the Daylesford forwards.
Jack Pretegar stood up and took a good mark close to goal, he turned, escaped his opposition player and ran in to an open goal. Daylesford was back in touch.

After the half time address by coach Steve Cowan, Daylesford came out firing but West End capitilizing with some good play and a quick goal.
West End continued their onslaught into the forward line but Trent Williams, cool headed and concentrating confidently, backed himself and repelled West Ends determined efforts to score.
Tom Micklewright Hill continued working tirelessly around the ground and Jimmy Oldham was working hard against his tough opposition. Aidan Mill was marking strongly on the forward line and giving his team mates a target up forward.
Daylesford had the momentum in the dying minutes of the quarter but were not able to score before the siren sounded.

After the last break Daylesford had to pull out a determined last ditch effort if they were going to take out the match and every player knew what had to be done.
Daylesford quickly attacked with young Xavier Walsh taking a strong mark close to goal but unable to get it through the big sticks. As the ball was kicked in from full back Max Ristrom attacked the ball cleanly and returned it sailing through the
big sticks.
The game was tied. Daylesford lifted a notch higher with some determined great play by Trent Williams, Darcy Shewell and Max Ristrom.
The ball was deep in Daylesford's forward pocket with a throw in Tom Micklewright Hill took clean possession from the tap out and snapped a great goal.
Daylesford then only had to hold off the fading West End team until the siren sounded. Daylesford were the premiers of 2005.
