Drivers test out Daylesford Speedway's 'renovated' track

02 Mar, 2010 12:24 PM
THE first race meeting at the Daylesford Speedway since Boxing Day was held on Sunday, February 21.

It turned out to be a beautiful day for the corporate cup with lots of spectators to watch the drivers try out the "renovated track".

In the street stocks, Cameron Barrie (Bacchus Marsh) Car 22 lost control and hit the wall only to be hit from behind by Daniel Kettels (Nagambie) Car 107.

Barrie's car was completely staved in at the back but he wasn't the only casualty for the day.

Trevor Dickins (Ballarat) car 33 found a way through the street stock carnage to pass his teammate Phil Attwell (Ballarat) car 3 and challenge Colin Ward (Creswick) car 98.

Colin's skilful driving held off all challenges to win the final.

Trevor will be trying to beat Colin at the next race meeting at Redline Speedway on Saturday, March 20, with racing starting at 5pm.

Due to club rules of qualifying for trophies, the following results for race winners are not necessarily the corporate trophy winners.
