Daylesford girls win tae kwon do medals

DAYLESFORD girls Katelyn Bugden, and Sharie-Lee

Oliver brought home gold and bronze medals from the National Tae Kwon Do selections at Olympic Park in Sydney last month.

Katelyn won gold in the 14/18 female black belt patterns division, making her the national champion, while Sharie-Lee won bronze in the red belt female sparring division.

The girls represented Victoria after the recent Victorian selections held in Melbourne in July, where Katelyn gained silver in the black belt division. At those selections, Sharie-Lee won gold in the red belt

section - making her state champion.

Katelyn and Sharie-Lee are now qualified to join the elite training squad of Team Victoria.
