Bushwalking in the Daylesford area

09 Mar, 2010 11:09 AM
DESPITE being rained upon last week the day ended splendidly with a pizza lunch that was well attended.

Our bushwalking walking group has been given a most generous donation from Rotary, which will enable us to replace our first-aid packs and also provide high visibility vests to be worn by the walk leader and the sweeper (the bloke at the rear with the cattle prod), both of which

will ad to our safety when in the bush.

The walk on March 12 will be in the Eganstown McLaclan Creek area. Details on 5348 3569 or at http://tinyurl.com/m7dlxb

This week's bushwalking tip: the cardinal rules for survival in a bush emergency are protection, location, water and food, in that order.
