Badminton rivalry between Daylesford businesses

21 Jul, 2009 12:53 PM
THE ARC wants to ignite "friendly rivalry" between Daylesford businesses with the introduction of the "Local Business Badminton Challenge".

Manager Tim Walshe said cafes, eateries, supermarkets and accommodation providers " so used to competing in a business sense" now had the chance to go head to head in a sport setting and be named the premier badminton business in town.

The inaugural season starts on Thursday, August 23 and will run for 10 weeks.

Mr Walshe said badminton had been chosen "because it's a fun sport that almost anyone can play".

"We aren't expecting the highest quality competition, this is more about a bit of fun and a chance for local businesses to socialise and network in a fun friendly and mildly competitive environment," he said.

Details: 5348 1777.
