KYLIE Torpey and Libby Purtell started the season on a high playing with each playing their 200th game for the Hepburn Netball Club.
There was support from both seniors, reserves and some juniors to form a guard of honour for both girls as they ran onto the court.
Torpey started playing netball for Hepburn when she was nine-years-old in the under-13 age group.
Purtell came to the club the following year also playing in the under-13 age group.
Both girls played in the under-13 premiership side in 2000.
They moved up into the under-15 side the following year and continued their dominance in a very strong team, missing out on finals that year but making it into the grand final and winning it the following year.
Torpey plays in the goalkeeper position and has been a dominate player, while Purtell has been more of an attacker _ playing most of her junior years in centre court.
The pair have been very lucky to have three junior premiership medals in each age group, their last was in 2004. They are yet to get their hands on a senior premiership but with the current senior team at Hepburn, they are working very hard to make that dream come true. It was
also Purtell's young cousin Tess's first game for the club, with her older sister, Laura, playing her 50th. Caitlan Ryan also played her 100th game on the same day.
