FOR the first time in the club's history, Hepburn's senior netball team has claimed a spot in a grand final.
In a convincing 41-26 win over second placed Buninyong, the Burras are now fully focussed on taking their first seniors premiership.
In an extremely fast-paced match, Hepburn spent the first quarter building their defence and attempting to break through the Bombers mid-court zone.
Lead by captain Libby Purtell in centre, Hepburn hit the court for the second quarter with the speed and pace of a team that wanted the flag.
Dominating the entire court and controlling the direction of play, the Burras managed to shut down Buninyong and win the quarter 13-3.
Ebony Place in goal keeper and Hannah Cameron-Taylor in goal defence were outstanding, and with the speed of its mid-court and goalers, Hepburn started to control the ball for the remaining two quarters.
With all nine players peaking at the right time, the Burras will now re-group and fully prepare for the grand final on Saturday, September 11.
Reserves
NO DOUBT the hardest game for the season so far, Hepburn's reserves went down in a nail-biter second semi final against Buninyong.
The Bombers took a quick lead for the first quarter, only to face a determined Hepburn in the second.
Tightening up their defence and providing more movement and options in attack, the Burras took a 10-6 second quarter to level the scores to 15-all at half time.
Mel Penny in goal shooter played an outstanding game with strong holds and putting up 27 goals of their 31.
Kristi Pedretti goal keeper and captain Janee Brown at centre helped linked Hepburn's line up, but with all players contributing, the pressure from both teams was relentless.
With a couple of injuries in the final quarter, Hepburn were unable to hold on and went down 31 to 38.
They will now face Ballan in the preliminary final this Saturday.
