There were quite a number of cars in each class but in the first heats of races the Daylesford Speedway Boxing Day Bash looked like the Christmas rush at Coles carpark.

Turn three and four were wet and slippery compared to the rest of the track.

When the cars hit this surface, the track took over. One after the other, they were parking on the wall.

As the day went on, the clouds lifted and the track dried out. This gave way to some superb driving in the finals.

The traditional Kids Push Bikes Races took place on the track at interval. Just to add some extra entertainment, some of the adult, or "big kid drivers", brought their own bikes and had a bike race of their own. After the race a couple of the guys were very generous, and gave away their bikes to some spectator kids.

During interval, Santa suddenly appeared and took a ride in the Club's ute .

To top the day off, there was a Demo Derby. Unfortunately it was a two-horse race, but these guys were not scared to hit each other. One of them had to win and it was Gareth Wilson in the Ford ute and the other guy was Zac Middleton in the Ford sedan.

The old fashion raffle is always popular. Winner was Robert Phillips with Sonia Retallick taking second prize.
