THE ladies pennant season has now finished. The division one and two teams won their semi-finals and go through to the grand final on March 2.
Division four will play in the preliminary final on February 23.
The final of the Champion of Champions was played at Ballarat Bowls Club on February 10, with Creswick bowler Beth Huntley defeating Kay Geddes from Central Wendouree.
BDLBA president Nancy Coad presented the Greeta Greenwell Perpetual Trophy to Huntley, who will play in the group finals in Maryborough on February 26.
The Twilight Bowls Mixed Triples Round Robin was played over five weeks in January and February.
Winners were Mick Haintz from Victoria, with Creswick bowlers Lyn Lubeek and Alan Annear.
On February 12, 16 teams contested The Farmers Day Tournament.
Winners were: Graeme Mitchell (Mt Xavier), Ted Rumler (Smeaton), Dave Maddern (Creswick) and Mick Haintz (Victoria).
The Ladies Invitation Tournament was played on February 15.
Winners were: N.Thornbill, C. Thomas, C. Vincent and E. Judd from Sebastopol.
Runners-up: M. Hibbins, P. Bucknoll, H.Weston and J. Branton from Maryborough Highlands.
