NINETY-TWO ladies contested the Creswick Ladies Invitation Day on Sunday which was sponsored by Creswick life member Phyllis Baker.
Participants came from far and wide including bowlers from Ballarat District Ladies Bowls Association, Ararat VRI, Barham, Campbells Creek, Central Wendouree, Daylesford, Midlands, Mt Xavier, Maryborough Highlands, Maryborough Golf, Kyneton, Sebastopol, Smeaton, Victoria, Webconna and Creswick.
The winners were Central Wendouree's E. Kierce, M. Meadows, B. Morley and K. Bowers.
A Smeaton team of C. Maher, S. Treweek, S. Prendergast and J. Toose were runners-up beating B. Miller's team from Ararat VRI by only 1/2 a shot.
