GOOD scoring was the order of the day in the midweek par. John Bell +9 showed he is back to his best. The consistent Brian Cross (+7) won B grade and Jan Baczynski looked great while winning C grade with +8.
Next best were T. Spink +6, B. Pyne +6 and M. Ure +5.
Nearest the pins were D. Head, N. Batchelor, L. Perrin and M. Walker. Saturday was a stableford foursomes where Rod and Mary Campbell blitzed the field with 44 points.
Next best were J. Hudson and J. Little 41, R. Winlow and B. Fraser 39, and A. Pitt and J. McCarthy 38.
Now that climate cooling is official the club was able to have the opening of the winter season on Sunday and saw the pair from Northern, Greg and Jenny Montgomery, win the visitors mixed American with 84-15 -68 .
Rod and Mary Campbell 78-145/8-633/8 again dominated, winning from M. Kaufman and V. Maher, nett 677/8 and J. McCormack and E. Hourigan 685/8. It was a case of a familiar face in the men's stableford - Colin Wilson 38 winning from G. Marshall, D. Armstrong and D. Simmonds, all
