Retreat. In difficult (but very welcome!) weather

conditions, Gary recorded 78-13-65 to beat Paul

Johnston 82-17-65 and John Fergusson 79-14-65 in a

three-way countback.

In the day's event Geoff Jenkin 69-4-65 won A grade,

while Brian Cross 82-19-63 took out B grade. Nearest

the pin on the 11th was Ian Rodgers and birdies on the

seventh went to Ian Rodgers and Geoff Jenkin.

The summer golfers played par on Sunday morning.

Best scores came from Lindsay Priest and Shane

Nevill, both with +3, followed by Brandan Johnson +1

and Peter Pedretti and Barry Jenner each finishing

square. Nearest the pins: Tim Murphy (second) and

Brandan Johnson (17th).

The lipstick went to Peter

Pedretti; the NAGA to Barry Jenner; and Ian Major made

the test team.
