DAYLESFORD'S Will Austin-King was part the AFL's Dream Time round at the MCG recently.
The Daylesford Primary School pupil played for Essendon at half-time of the main game between the Bombers and Richmond after being chosen out of hundreds of young Aboriginals from around Victoria.
He played on the wing and said he managed to gain several touches in front of a crowd of 70,000.
Essendon and Richmond play off in the Dream Time game because their club colours of black and yellow, and black and red make up the Aboriginal flag.
Will said the only downside of the night was having to play for Essendon, instead of his beloved Tigers. His favourite players include Andrew Krakouer and Richard Tambling.
Each year the AFL designates a round to celebrate Aboriginals in football.
