CRESWICK finished its season on a high with a 90-point win over wooden spooner Gordon.
The 17.14 (116) to 3.8 (26) victory caps off a long year for the Ballarat Carworks Wickers.
Mick Page was among the best players after doubts about whether he would play after the events of last week.
Clint Robinson starred with 11 goals and the on-ball brigade and defensive efforts were good all over for Creswick, in particular Tim Rieniets and Tim Wright.
"I told the boys before the start of the game that they can't take things easy," coach Sean Lever said. "It is refreshing to finish on a high like this, we have a huge off season ahead but we need to recruit a few more big bodied forwards."
The Eagles' loss ends its disappointing season.
"The boys seemed flat before the game but Creswick played well," Gordon coach Craig Baker said.
Steve Tudor and Jason Compton were the best Eagles on the day, while Nigal Reid and Tye Murphy tried hard.
In recent weeks, both Gordon and Creswick have given the CHFL glimpses of what is in store for 2008.
