Tabloid sports carnival a big hit

21 Nov, 2006 01:01 PM
MORE than 100 children took part in a tabloid sports carnival at the Newlyn Recreation Reserve last Friday.

Prep to grade two pupils from the Seven Hills Cluster participated in the carnival.

Organiser and Bullarto Primary School principal Sue Beel said the pupils were divided into groups, spending about 10 minutes on each activity.

"It's non-competitive and lots of fun," she said.

Tabloid Sports Carnivals is a Melbourne based company that aims to engage children in physical challenges, a positive social experience and success and enjoyment.

It uses exciting and safe equipment tailored to the developmental stages of children.

Ms Beel said there was lots of jumping and throwing at the carnival.
