PREMIERSHIP contender Hepburn recorded a huge win over Trentham in Daylesford and District Cricket Association at the weekend.
Hepburn managed 4-247 with Wayne Robinson leading the charge with 155 not out. Mick Courtot (52) also hurt Trentham.
Trentham's bowlers Sam Hewill, Dean Crewther, Ian Dunn and Harley Forgo shared the wickets.
Trentham was 6-128 at the end of its overs. Only Gary Overall (47 not out) and Kyle Vorbach (45) offered resistance.
Sam Winnard, 2-31, was Hepburn's best bowler.
Smeaton survived a close finish to record a victory over Colts.
Colts batted first and were soon in deep trouble at 5-18, but recovered to be all out for 160. Jason Mackley (68) was the stand-out batsman, Michael Grose 4-29 and Andrew Knowles 4-33 did the damage with the ball.
Smeaton replied with 3-167.
Travis Smithard, 56, and Tim Wright, 46. led the way.
Tom Geddes picked up 2-44 for Colts.
Korweinguboora hit a very competitive total of 4-249 in its 35 overs to defeat top-side Blackwood.
Chris Adams, 100, Cade O'Brien, 57, and Luke Adams, 35, helped set up the surprise win.
Blackwood began the run chase and ran out of overs to finish with 6-238. The premiership favorites were 98 after 20 overs and 120 after 25 overs leaving them the task of getting 13 runs an over.
The runs were shared by Brett Sullivan, 72 not our, Matt O'Brien, 31, Dan Morgan, 34, Rob Whan, 36, and Darren Woodward, 31.
Young Jack Nulty was Korweinguboora's best bowler bowling 10 straight overs to finish with 2-37.
Saturday's matches include a clash between Newlyn and Smeaton at Newlyn, Trentham is at home against Korweinguboora and Blackwood will look to bounce back against Hepburn at home. Colts have
