ORGANISERS of Creswick Forestry Fiesta's sports events have praised competitors for their involvement.
Leading cyclists competed the day after taking part in the Melbourne to Warrnambool Classic.
Race organiser Adam Webb said all competitors showed great spirit throughout the event.
He said the race's planning committee wanted to develop the event.
An international rider took out the second Creswick Criterium, which 38 riders contested.
Evan Oliphant, from Scotland, won the event on Sunday afternoon. Ballarat's Patrick Shaw was second and Sean Finn was third.
The Brackenbury Classic was also a successful event with a dead heat in a women's race adding to the excitement of the fiesta.
Among the competitors were Olympian Steve Moneghetti and federal election candidate Samantha McIntosh.
Paula Nankervis and Karen Clark both registered a time of 105 minutes 48 seconds in the 21km event.
Tim Gazzard won the men's race.
McIntosh took out the women's 10km open event in a time of 56 m 51s and Neville Down won the men's event in 42m14s.
In the five kilometre event, Mollie Forbes won the open women's with a time of 26m43s and Ron Van Raoophorst got home first in the men's with a time of 21m22s.
The Doug Lindsay Recreation Reserve will benefit with funds from the event going towards future developments at the site.
