DAYLESFORD meets its main premiership challenger Waubra in a Central Highlands Football League semi-final on Saturday at Dunnstown.
The Bulldogs, fresh from a week off, will look to continue its undefeated season against the Kangaroos, who thrashed Hepburn by 57 points in a qualifying final on Saturday.
The winner will book a place in the grand final.
The Bulldogs will go into the match as favourites with in-form and proven players across the ground.
But Waubra forward Lee Brown could be prove a headache for the Bulldog defenders, especially in dry conditions. The spearhead booted seven against Hepburn on Saturday.
Kangaroos defenders Cam Landry, Phil McDonald and Leith Pellissier are also playing well and kept fast-moving Hepburn to just nine goals last weekend.
However Daylesford, which has experienced a trouble-free season, will be ready to pounce on Waubra's mistakes and should set itself up for long-anticipated grand final berth.
Last time the two sides met was in round 10 when Daylesford 6.11 (47) got across the line against Waubra 6.7 (43).
The loser of Saturday's game will play the winner of a Hepburn versus Dunnstown final.
