Creswick teams put through their paces

06 Apr, 2010 01:22 PM
COACHES Whitney Kennedy and Glenn Kerr took their respective Creswick Netball and Football teams on a boot camp to Baringhup and the environs of Lake Cairn Curran to help in preparations for the upcoming season.

Managers Dave McPhee and Di Blake kept a close eye on proceedings as this novel idea gave the club some early momentum and a sense of shared purpose.

Kerr was confident and looking forward to a 50-50 win loss record for the season - a vast improvement on three wins in 2009.

He expected the young brigade of Simon and Caleb Hepworth, Joel and Matt Antonio, Gary Knights, Ben Moran and Justin Ellis to provide most of the improvement in strength and skills while stalwarts Tim Reinerts and Clint Robinson will mastermind the

game plan.

Kennedy has a burgeoning list to choose from and her commitment to the club looks set to bear fruit. A one win, 34 per cent season on 2009 will be used as a measure for motivation in 2010.
