THE Daylesford Tennis Club finished the season on a high with a good number of players participating from all around the district.
To wrap up the season, the club held its senior and junior championships.
Winners and placegetters were presented with their trophies on March 31.
The ladies championship was a tight affair, played between sisters Leanne Purtell and Michelle Adams.
Adams had a chance to win the first set, but Purtell came back to win the first set in a tie-breaker.
Adams took the next set 6/4 and the battle was on. Drinks were taken at every change in the warm weather conditions.
Purtell got come returns back to get in front and Adams came back with some good serving.
In the end, Purtell won the championship with a good steady display of consistency.
The men's championship was played between John Dwyer and Winston Silbereisen in a three set match.
Young gun Dwyer started off a little nervous, with lots of experience from the other end.
Silbereisen was trying to win his first championship after playing off many times. He won the second set, but Dwyer played well to take out the championship in three sets.
Purtell and Silbereisen teamed up in the mixed final against Dwyer and sister Nicole Olver. Purtell and Silbereisen won in three sets.
