IGNITED by a coming-of-age performance by Nick Walsh, Hepburn seniors finally got on top of a dogged Dunnstown to record a vital 13-point win.
Walsh, playing out of forward pocket, took half-a-dozen strong marks and kicked two timely goals.
Another Burra, junior Brett Night, had several important touches in the period as Hepburn asserted its ascendancy.
Down back Torpey, Mann and Byers were on top for most of the day and Brendan Sheppard again stood out before going forward after half time.
Purtell, on the wing, was busy all day and Carmen in the ruck also had a mixed day with some strong ruck work in the final quarter important to his side.
When the job needed to be done it was the sheer class of Cox, Jarrod, Daniel James and Andy McKay who influenced the contest.
Best: Lee Cox, Andrew McKay, Daniel James, Nicholas Walsh, Paul Torpey, Ross Mann, Neville Purtell
Goals: Lee Cox 6, Nicholas Walsh 2, Andrew McKay 1, Danny Abbott 1
