THE Daylesford Soccer Club is back on the winning bandwagon, with superb victories over Forest Rangers 6-2 and North United 4-0 at the weekend.
The Saints started slow, but came back strong in the second half with a hat-trick to Jack Nulty and two goals from new talent and rising star, Jayden Allen.
Zoran Soccervich also scored a debut goal against North United, a match in which he starred, and Sam Berrins scored two great goals.
The team started very slowly, and quickly found themselves two goals down against a more determined Rangers side.
Nulty was suffering from a mysterious illness in front of goal and was not on the money in the first half.
It took another near goal from Forest to fire up the Saints.
Dragi Koleski was starting to win the ball through the middle, after receiving a nasty knock that required some medical gaffer tape to keep him together.
Matt Sutton was everywhere, creating many opportunities for the Saints, and made some dashing runs through midfield.
It was Nulty who made the first breakthrough after winning a penalty and smashing home easily.
The Saints then put away another goal through Jayden Allen, who chested a classic goal.
The half-time score was 2-2, with coach Dragi Koleski inspiring the Saints to take more shots in the box earlier.
The half-time rev up clearly worked, with the Saints pouring on four goals in the second half.
Matt Sutton provided the midfield flair and creativity to set up many opportunities for Berrins, Allen and Nulty, who could have put away even more than the four goals they scored.
Brett Fern and Wayne Devlin also had plenty of the ball and both played well.
Nick Jansen also came out with purpose.
Nulty and Koleski scored via the talent of Sutton's precision. Clearly the saints have found the midfield player to create numerous chances for the pacey forwards.
Nulty's hat-trick could have been a double, with Allen's two goals vital in getting the Saints some much needed percentage boost.
The Saints should be stronger in the following weeks, with the return of some talent from the sick ward.
The bond forming on the field is certainly starting to bring some quality back into the game.
