Daylesford Saints promoted to division one in Ballarat & District Soccer League

25 Jan, 2012 12:00 AM
THE Daylesford and Hepburn United Soccer will be promoted to Division 1, the top division, in the Ballarat and District Soccer League for the 2012 season.

This follows the club's stunning 2011 season that saw the team win the Division 2 competition ? both the league and the cup.

Hard work and persistence were rewarded with the big prize.

"The club has come along way in 2011 and being able to train at VicPark was vital to this success," said coach Dragi Koleski.

"The 2012 season will require much work to compete at this level and improvements will be required to fitness and poise in front of goal."

President Zoran Drogriski has welcomed old and new players to the club in 2012.

"Hopefully we can pick up a few quality players and improve our game to play some sizzling soccer.

"The club would like to thank the Daylesford Junior Football Club for allowing our team to train on the junior oval once a week instead of driving to Dean for a dismal training, which has made a massive difference."

The club is putting out a call for new players for the 2012 season ? those who want to play in a competitive but social team.

All interested players, old and new, can contact Zoran 0437039108.
