Daylesford Saints bounce back with five-goal win over Forest Rangers

10 Aug, 2010 01:16 PM
THE Daylesford Saints bounced back from last week's shock loss with a huge five-nil win over fifth-placed Forest Rangers.

Jack Nulty scored all five goals, in a pivotal and precise performance.

Jack scored a first-half hat trick, after Dragi K and Alec C set him up, with Jack smashing home proudly.

Brett Marshall and Jayden Allen had their season's best game, and are linking well in the Saints' machine.

Also starring was Cimera, who gave Nulty a goal, and Ivan Carter, who finally had a few cracks at goal.

Dwight Bear was suffering early after some bad eggs for brekkie, but made a late comeback.

Nulty was unstoppable and could have scored six, after missing a penalty.

The team has three matches remaining against bottom sides and should make the finals for a third year in a row.

They can only hope Ballarat Red slip up and hand them a top two place.

Score: Saints 5 def Rangers 0.

Best: J Nulty, B Marshall, J Allen, D Beare D Trotter.
