THE Daylesford Saints managed a well fought 7-0 win against Vic Park in the BDSA match on Sunday at Dean.
The result was impressive, with the team playing some neat soccer, despite missing Dwight Beare and Matt Sutton.
The Saints converted their first-half chances and fired on all cylinders, barely giving their opposition a look-in.
The team still managed many goals against a stiff breeze in the first half.
Dragi Koleski's constant encouragement and chatter was a highlight of the day and showed how important he has become to the Saints' leadership group.
The Saints started well and played with determination and flair, with early dominance from Zoran Smith, Sam Berrins and Dylan Nulty.
The Saints played a relaxed continental passing game, aka Brussels FC, passing through the back-line and supporting without chewing the fat.
Brett Marchall was in fine form. Marchall and Sam Berrins had the best games of their seasons, with Berrins scoring a hat-trick, celebrating with a triple somersault and handstand.
The Saints deserved a win, and fought hard right to the end, scoring another great goal after some brilliant work from the engine room of the Saints' midfield.
