Attacking game keeps scores tight throughout

CRESWICK'S under-11 soccer team defeated Daylesford at Dean at the weekend.

A full eight, fit side started this game and it showed the Saints' attack through Cam Ralph and Jordy Barnes

feeding John Villiers with crosses from both wings.

The Saints came close on a few occasions but were unable to finish.

Creswick caught the Saints on a counter-attack and scored.

Creswick started to attack with their lead, but Madi Barnes, Bonnie Cooper, Connor Scott and Aiden Mayger, solid

in defence, kept Creswick at bay.

The Saints kicked off the second half feeling a good result was possible.

Debut player Bray Brookes, played out of his skin and finally got the Saints a well-deserved equaliser, slamming

a shot past Creswick's keeper.

Both sides battled out a close second half.

Ned Johns and Jack Thomas closed down midfield, chasing and tackling when a shot came through a sea of Saints

defenders and past an unfortunate unsighted Daylesford keeper.

Creswick scored, right on the stroke of full time.

Congratulations to both teams on a very entertaining, high spirited game.

Creswick beat Daylesford two to one.
