Trentham junior golf program ends on a high note

23 Jun, 2009 03:32 PM
THE cold weather last Saturday didn't deter 15 happy junior golfers from completing their first-semester junior program at Trentham Golf Club.

Zac Pecorini and Cohen Grey were the winners of the Trentham 2009 Rookie series, and they will be invited to play in a state final during the school holidays.

One of the teachers of the junior program, TGC member Tom Hamlin, has just finished a level three coaching accreditation. Tom's expertise will ensure the development of the juniors' skills and the continued high standards of the program.

He was presented with a club jacket for recognition of his contribution.

This is the third year that Trentham has run a successful junior program, and it continues to attract juniors from around the district.

The program for term three will start on Saturday, July 18 at 10.00 am and run every Saturday during the school term. All school-aged students are welcome.

Enquiries should be directed to the Trentham Golf Club Junior coordinator Veronica Maher on 0411 179 096.
