CRESWICK'S Jack Sewell could not be more proud of his Kooroocheang grandsons.
Brad Sewell's triumph with the Hawks in Saturday's AFL Grand Final marked the
third football grand final win for the family this season.
"I thought that when Adam won with Ballarat and then when Myles won with the
Roosters, two down and one to go," he laughed.
"And sure enough, Brad won with Hawthorn.
"What could be better than the three of them all winning?"
Adam Sewell was in the winning team in the BFL grand final last week when
Ballarat defeated Darley and his brother Myles continued the winning streak on
Friday night at the Telstra Dome, with North Ballarat beating Port Melbourne in the
VFL premiership.
"They're all playing in top levels," Jack said.
"They're playing for their country, state, and region."
The proud grandfather said he had a feeling at the back of his head that if anyone
were to beat Geelong, it would be Hawthorn.
"We're just delighted," he said.
"There were over 100,000 people at the MCG.
"I think that's the biggest crowd ever and I would think they all got their money's
worth."
Although he had not had a chance to talk to Brad since the win, he said he was
extremely proud of him.
"The boys are grandsons you can be proud of in any circumstances," he said.
As for the future, Jack looks forward to getting the whole family together to
celebrate.
"My biggest Christmas present is to have all the grandchildren and the family
together," he said.
"We're all still here, and everyone is fit, healthy and has succeeded in life and what
could be better than that?"
