HEPBURN stayed on the winner's list for the seventh week in a row, defeating Gordon by 103 points at the Laurie Sullivan Reserve on Saturday.
The highlight of the day was the senior debut of 16-year-old Joe Malone.
The youngest of the Malone dynasty took no time to find his feet, hitting full forward Lee Cox lace out during the second quarter.
Kallum Hartman also made his debut after several impressive performances in the reserves.
Daniel Rees had a day out racking up the possessions on the Ross Mann wing.
The smooth-moving Rees showed his class in a four quarter performance and a best-on-ground display.
With Cox well held, the Burras used other avenues to goal with eight different goal kickers for the day.
Andy McKay had a scintillating first half leaving his opponents in his wake. Whether the ball was on the ground or in the air, McKay seemed to have the ball on a string.
Hepburn went into the main break leading by 73 points, and it looked like an old-fashioned drubbing was on the cards.
But the new-look Gordon, full of youngsters wanting to have a crack, served it up to Hepburn in the second half.
They matched it with the Burras through the midfield and put a halt to the goal scoring but found it hard to convert.
Daniel Smith and Trevor Johnson again stood firm when the ball went into their defensive area.
Next week Hepburn travels to Clunes where the Bing Baker Cup awaits the victor.
