NINE goals from recruit Luke Redpath helped Clunes kick off the CHFL 2010 season with a bang against Gordon.
The big full forward, who has signed with the club from Werribee Centrals this season, starred in his debut for the Magpies in their 16.10 (106) to 5.12 (42) win at home.
Coach Andrew Tatchell said Redpath, who is coming off a serious back injury, and midfielder Mark Anderson were the two stand-outs for the Magpies, who set up the victory with a five-goals-to-one opening term.
They lead by eight goals by half-time and the match was effectively over as a contest.
Tatchell said it was a pleasing day for the club, with all five teams winning.
He now has the task of getting the Magpies - who are likely to be without James Sewell who injured a knee - up for a clash against reigning premiers Daylesford this weekend.
"It'll be tough on us, but if things go our way a bit who knows?" he said.
