HEPBURN hosted the yellow and black of Springbank at the Laurie Sullivan Reserve on Saturday and ran away 91-point victors.
Lee Cox and Ash Wedding were again among the goals with 10 between them, but it was their opponents who were forced to work tirelessly all day and probably finished in Springbank's better players on the day.
The Burras dominated the first five minutes of the match booting four quick goals before the Tigers settled and started to take the game up to Hepburn. Hepburn were indirect on the small oval, playing into Springbank's hands.
Trevor Johnson returned to form with a polished display. His marking and accurate kicking into the forward line kept the scoreboard ticking over all day. Again it was the backline that received the most plaudits from coach Shane Robertson. The power of Brendan Shepherd again
was on show, as was the ferocious tackling of John Comelli and Gary Byers.
Young gun ruckman Sam Conroy worked tirelessly around the ground, feeding the ball off to his fleet-footed on-ball brigade.
In what would be looked upon as a lacklustre performance after the previous week's effort, Hepburn showed in the third quarter the quality brand of football they can produce when they move the ball quickly.
Robertson constantly used the interchange bench to freshen up his chargers, who have had a gruelling past four weeks.
