Medal caps year for Dunnstown captain

Medal caps year for Dunnstown captain

01 Sep, 2009 01:53 PM
JAYE CAHIR was a popular winner of Monday night's Geoff Taylor Medal.

The Dunnstown captain said he did not know whether to laugh or cry when he accepted the Central Highlands Football League best and fairest award.

Cahir, 30, said it was his most consistent year since he started playing.

The Cahir family is a big part of the Towners team but he said it was the first award anyone from the family had received.

And while he said the award was "great" Cahir would rather still be part of the finals race - the Towners bowing out in the elimination final to Waubra.
