25 Nov, 2008 09:34 AM
LUKE Beattie has been signed as the Daylesford Bulldogs new senior football coach.

Manager Bernie Jurcan said the club was ''excited'' by the announcement.

''The talented forward comes to Daylesford after being an assistant at the Sunbury Lions in the Ballarat Football League in 2007 and as a player in 2008.

''Luke brings a wealth of experience to the club having competed in both the Ballarat and Bendigo Football Leagues, where he played with the South Bendigo Football Club.

''The DFNC could not be happier with the signing of such a high quality player and person, and are looking forward to the 2009 season.''

Mr Jercan said a meet-and-greet for all players and supports of the Daylesford Football and Netball Club would be held this Sunday, November 30 at Victoria Park. Pre-season training starts on December1.
