25 May, 2010 11:03 AM
HEPBURN'S Lee Cox and Andy McKay have been named in the VCFL district state team training squad.

If selected, the pair will compete at the Australian Country Football carnival in Canberra from July 22 to 25.

Cox and McKay are the only two Central Highlands Football League representatives in the 41-member squad.

The Barooga Sports Club WorkSafe VCFL district state team squad will train at Harry Trott Reserve in Albert Park on Sunday under head coach Ron Thomas.

Thomas has coached six premierships across metropolitan, country Victoria and New South Wales football leagues, including the Ballarat Football League.

He also took charge of the VCFL district team in 2007.

Mark Ramsay from Newstead in the Maryborough and Castlemaine District Football League has also been included in the squad.
