Daylesford Saints push into soccer finals

01 Sep, 2009 02:56 PM

THE Saints have propelled themselves into this year's final series with a thrilling two-all draw over Warrnambool.

The game was played at Warrnambool, which made the win even more meritorious.

The Saints will face Ballarat Red on Sunday in the first final.

Saturday's win was a credit to a hard fighting team, which was undermanned for the first part of the year.

Goals from Dylan Nulty and Sam Berrins were fantastic.

The team is looking forward to next week's finals series.

The game will start at 1pm in Ballarat and the Saints will be roaring to win the finals.
