DAYLESFORD Football Netball Club is going from strength to strength with its training sessions for the season ahead, according to its coaches.
Since training sessions started in late January, the football club's seniors coach Luke Beattie said that the club was pleased with its position now and was looking to get stronger over the next couple of weeks.
"It's all going along well and the numbers are improving each week," Beattie said.
He said the club had retained a full list of players in the seniors team from last year's draw where they had finished runners-up in the Central Highlands competition.
"The under-18s team is looking good for the season ahead with three of the club's players also training with the Ballarat Rebels," Beattie said.
On the netball front, coordinator Emily Heywood said that training sessions for the junior and senior netball teams would start this Thursday.
"We got a lot of new players last year and although we have good numbers with the juniors we're always looking for new girls at any skill level," Ms Heywood said.
"We've got girls coming up from the juniors into the seniors and hopefully they'll boost the team up as we're looking to get further along the ladder."
The Daylesford Football Netball Club is holding a triathlon and family day on March 14.
Ms Heywood said it was a good opportunity for people to join in with the activities and barbeque lunch while meeting new faces around the club.
The first games for the football and netball seasons start on Saturday, April 18.
