LUKE Beattie has decided to risk his perfect record as a senior coach by taking the reins of Daylesford for another season.
Beattie won the Central Highlands premiership this year, in his first term as senior coach but needed to weigh up whether his increasing family commitments would prevent him going round again.
He did not see his record as perfect and thought there was still room for improvement.
"Our focus for next season will be working on the under-18s . . . we're extremely fortunate to have such a successful junior football club and we're conscious of providing opportunities for them,'' Beattie said.
With the under-18s also winning the premiership, he said he had a "very handy bunch of kids coming through this year''.
And because of that, he did not expect many new recruits at Victoria Park next season.
