THE Irish Sixes Stableford Club golf competition was won by a team comprising Rodney Robinson (8), Jonathan Barell (15) and Peter Fell (9).
Playing at Hepburn Springs Golf Club the winning team scored 82 points from Ian Rodgers, Wayne Mobbs and Graham Marshall with 81 points.
Fell played the back nine holes in two under par while Robinson had won the men's 36 holes handicap - Barry Jenner won the 36 holes scratch - in the club's annual tournament played the previous Saturday.
Robinson, Barrell and Fell are also part of the organising committee for the inaugural Spa Country celebrity four-person ambrose. To be held at Hepburn Springs Golf Club on Friday, October 24, golfers will hear from and join celebrity golfer Ian Stanley, and celebrity footballers
Marc Maclure and Tony Jewel.
The entry fee includes a fabulous welcome gift pack, gourmet morning tea with a presentation from the celebrities, 18 holes of golf, gourmet food on course, free tickets in a monster raffle, excellent prizes, Drummond Golf trade display and additional free golf and, after the golf, all
beverages including premium wine, beer and pre-mix from registration until conclusion of presentations.
Cost is $110 per person for the day or $440 per team.
