CRESWICK centreman Caleb Hepworth was runaway winner of the Central Highlands Under-18 best and fairest competition.
Hepworth, 17, polled 35 votes - eight more than Ballan's Drew Pearce, who received five more votes than Paddy Dwyer, from Daylesford - and had the award sewn up with three rounds to be counted.
Hepworth was ``stoked'' to receive the award, but would have traded it in for finals action ``any day'', with Creswick missing out on the top six on percentage.
``(I was) not really (expecting it), I thought my little brother (Liam) was going to be up there more than me,'' he said.
Hepworth also played 11 senior games and was hoping to cement his spot next year.
Steven Ryan capped off a great year in the centre for Bungaree, claiming the under-15 best-and-fairest with 38 votes, five votes clear of Springbank's Joel Maher.
A 10-goal haul by Bungaree's Matthew Conder meant the under-18 goal-kicking award was shared between him and Ballan's Justin Pearce, who kicked five.
In the under-15s, Glen Coleman won the goal-kicking award with 44 majors, and also finished sixth in the best and fairest.
