TRENTHAM Seniors played second top cricket side Taradale in a one-day game and after losing the toss were asked to bat.
The opening partnership of Isaac Jennings and Mark Reid was broken early when Jennings was caught by Millichamp off the bowling of L. Vearing for 5.
Jake Prewett joined Reid at the crease and added seven runs to the score before being bowled by M. Waters.
Dean Price joined Reid to take the score to 19 but was caught behind off the bowling of W Schultz for 1.
Adam Prewett steadied the team but soon lost his partner Reid for 8.
Harley Forgo joined the captain and together brought the score up to 54.
Prewett's wicket fell next, closely followed by John Cowell 1, Glen Jennings 0 and Forgo 9.
Ray Tadd and Cam Bishop added 16 runs to the score before Tadd was caught by Anderson for 9.
Bishop made 8 and Ted Cooper finished not out 5.
Trentham only had 77 runs to defend.
Opening bowler Harley Forgo got the team off to a good start when he bowled L. Maltby for a duck.
M. Waters and W. Schultz added 56 runs to the score before Schultz was caught by Bishop off the bowling of Adam Prewett for 4.
Taradale was eventually dismissed for 170 runs, with Trentham winning easily.
