NEWLYN put itself in a strong position in district cricket last weekend, bowling Trentham out before piling on 4-180 by stumps.
Trentham was all out for 135, with Andy Thomas accumulating 79 and Harley Forgo scoring 34.
The destroyer was Wes Carter with a lethal 6-21, with support from Brayden Slater (2-15).
Newlyn then took control with the bat, Simon Dwyer ending on 95 not out and Nick Smith 37 not out. Chris Stephens scored 23.
Harley Forgo has the best figures for Trentham with 3-49.
Hepburn made 188 with Sam Winnard getting 120 against Korweinguboora, Troy Slater picking up 4-48.
In reply Korweinguboora is 2-79, Sam Winnard claiming both scalps.
Colts are home to Blackwood and hit 204 runs, Jason Mackley made 67 and the wickets were taken by Travis Smithard 3-25, Al Salmon 3-40 and Luke Whitehouse 4-50. Blackwood is 0-1 and will chase the runs Saturday.
