Newlyn at nine down, as Korweinguboora strikes back

KORWEINGUBOORA has Newlyn in trouble at 9 for 88 chasing 136 runs.

Steve Cowan 53 and Chris Adams 35 batted well for Korweinguboora, Ian Hill 3-23, Peter Stephens 2-25 and Michael Rice 2-24 took the wickets.

For Newlyn only Chris Stephens 44 offered resistance and Troy Slater 3-36, Chris Adams 3-18 and Wade Veldhuis 3-25 have the wickets.

Colts are in a strong position against Hepburn, after dismissing them for 129 runs, Sam Winnard shone with the bat with 79, while Michael Cummings 5-54 and Brett Marshall 4-28 got the wickets.

Colts are 4-122 in reply, Matt Bolton 37, Kane Trimble 18 and Aaron Brereton 44 did well with the bat and Sam Winnard 2-34 and Cameron Bishop 2-51 tried hard with the ball.

K'Boora have Newlyn in trouble who are 9/88 chasing 136 runs.

Trentham have first innings points against Blackwood who were bowled out for 80 runs.

Luke Whitehouse 18 and Travis Smithard 18 tried hard with the bat while Harley Forgo 2-7, John Cowell 2-26, Sam Hewitt 2-17 and Lewis Bruton 2-14 shared the wickets.

Trentham replied with 93, Andy Thomas getting 34 with Luke Whitehouse 6-35 and Billy O'Connor 3-5 picking up the wickets. Blackwood is 0-0 in its second innings.

Daylesford Under 16s had a victory over Guildford who made 108 chasing 174 runs. Brayden Slater 2-4 and John Villiers 2-18 took the wickets. The boys are away to Muckleford Maroon next week.
