NEWLYN and Colts earned the right to meet in next weekend's district cricket grand final after wins over Hepburn and Korweinguboora.
Newlyn batted first against Hepburn and amassed 239 runs, with Devon Lafranchi 60 not out and Chris Stephens 49 doing well with the bat.
Mitchell Elderfield took 4/20 and young Cameron Bishop tried hard with 3/101 off 27 overs.
Hepburn replied with 56 runs, with Mark Clohesy taking 4/8 for Newlyn.
In a low scoring, close match Colts batted first and made 70 runs. Korweinguboora was dismissed for 66 runs.
The wickets were shared between Finley MacDonald and Michael Cummings, each taking five.
Colts batted and were 7/120 when stumps were drawn.
Newlyn and Colts will face off at Victoria Park on Saturday with the grand final starting at 11am and the match continuing on Sunday.
The Daylesford under-16s have booked a spot in the finals after a last round win over Trentham, which was dismissed for 103 chasing Daylesford's 155 runs. The wickets were shared between Brayden Slater 2/3, Tom Conroy 2/2 and Sam Marshall.
