NEWLYN and Colts have played out a draw in a district cricket match.
Newlyn resumed from last week on 1/94 and was 9/134 at the end of its 70 overs.
Brayden Slater, 42, and Leigh Allen, 42, did well with the bat, while Michael Cummings took 6/31 for Colts.
Colts was 8/121 at the end of play, resulting in a draw.
Jason Mackley, 24, and Stuart Schultz, 24 not out, batted well for Colts and the wickets were shared by Wes Carter 2/16, Pete Stephens 2/15 and Brayden Slater 2/33.
The Hepburn versus Blackwood game was also a draw.
Hepburn resumed at 4/154 and was dismissed for 213 runs.
Wayne Robinson, 92, Ricky Cox, 26, Brendan Hughes, 25 not out, and Sam Winnard, 23, scored the runs.
Luke Whitehouse 7/60 and Alan Salmon 2/40 took the wickets for Blackwood.
Blackwood was 8/149 at the end of play, with Steve O'Brien, 35, Des Hepburn,31, Matt Taylor, 23, and James Cann, 10 not out, in the runs, while Michael Elderfield 5/51 and Sam Winnard 3/30 took the wickets for Hepburn.
Korweinguboora 3/220 defeated Trentham 10/58. Pat Helper made 55 for Korweinguboora and Chris Adams took 6/31.
Daylesford Juniors played Muckleford Gold and has the Gold 9/96 with Brian Mustafa getting 33, with Jon Villiers 2/1 and Tom Conroy 2/21 taking the wickets.
Sebastian Walsh, Xavier Walsh and Tom Conroy all took good catches.
The boys will bat next Saturday.
Abrahams Cup: the DDCA played Pyrenees CA at Victoria Cup and was successful.
Daylesford batted first and was 6/206 at the end of its 40 overs.
The runs were made by Chris Adams 69, Sam Winnard 55, Luke Whitehouse 18, Jason Mackley 18 and Wayne Robinson 18 no while T. Malloy took 3/36. Pyrenees were dismissed for 173 runs, with R. Brown 68, T. Brand 33 and I. Vleck 22 doing well. Wickets were taken by Jason Mackley
4/38, Luke Whitehouse 3/10 and Brett Marshall 2/30.
The Juniors also played Pyrenees and was defeated. Pyrenees made 5/155 in 40 overs.
J. Cullinan 50 and B. Karslake 45 batted well while John Villiers, 2/13, Sebastian Walsh, 1/14 and Andrew Brown, 1/28 bowled well.
Daylesford batted and made 98 runs. Only Declan Ryan 27 no and Sebastian Walsh 17 offered resistance. D. Armstrong 3/10 and J Kendon 2/11 shared the wickets.
