Korweinguboora twice as ruthless

KORWEINGUBOORA has recorded an outright victory over Trentham in district cricket.

Korweinguboora didn't need to bat twice, scoring 180 runs in its first and only innings.

Trentham could only manage 91 in its first innings and 72 in the second.

Corey Slater top scored for Korweinguboora with 56 while John Cowell, 4-48, and Dennis Thomas, 5-52, did well for Trentham. Adam Prewett was 25 no and Andy Thomas made 19 for Trentham, with the wickets shared between Troy Slater 4-30, Chris Adams 4-35 and Josh Watts 3-8.

In another district cricket match, Newlyn beat Colts outright, bowling them out for 79 in the first innings and 28 in the second after hitting 199 runs.

Ashley Davidson 63 and Nick Smith 43 were in the runs, while Finley MacDonald took 3-49 for Colts. Mark Clohesy took 4-6 in Colts second innings.

K'Boora also recorded an outright victory over Trentham.

Trentham made 91 and 72 in their second innings against K'Boora's 180 runs.

Blackwood had a first innings win over Hepburn.

Hepburn resumed on 5-66 chasing 243 runs. They were dismissed for 139 with Brendan Hughes 29 and Nigel McKenzie 37. Rob Whan took 3-26 and Scott Unstad chipped in with 3-27.

Hepburn followed on and were 5-340 at stumps. Sam Winnard made 165, Nigel McKenzie 100 and Ricky Cox 50 no, Travis Smithard took 3-31.

The U-16s are 5-174 against Guildford. Declan Ryan made 48 no, Sebastian Walsh 34 and Robert Glenn 27, the wickets were taken by A. Banco 2-28 and C. Bunting 2-28.

Next week's games are: Newlyn home to K'Boora, Trentham home to Blackwood and Hepburn home to Colts.
