Colts finishes off Hepburn for outright

COLTS finished off its good start to earn an outright win against in Daylesford District Cricket Association on Saturday.

It resumed at 6-124 chasing Hepburn's 129 and was eventually dismissed for 202.

Aaron Brereton made 44, Matthew Bolton 37 and Sebastian Walsh 27, while Sam Winnard picked up 7-59 for the bowling side.

Hepburn was bowled out for 110 in its second innings, with the two Sams - Conroy (45 runs) and Winnard (25) - Hepburn's only contributors.

Colts then made the required runs for an outright, finishing at 2-43.

Korweinguboora had a first innings win over Newlyn who were dismissed for 89, chasing Korweinguboora's 136.

Korweinguboora batted again and were 5-106 at the end of play, Aiden Mill (47) and Corey Slater (28) doing well with the bat, and Simon Dwyer took 2-8.

Meanwhile, Trentham also had a first innings win over Blackwood.

Blackwood made 80 before Trentham replied with 93.

Blackwood then posted 156 in its second innings, with Al Salmon (41) doing well and Trentham's Sam Hewitt taking 3-34 with John Cowell picking up 3-33.

Trentham finished up at 4-106 - 37 short of an outright - at the with Harley Forgo on 37 not out.

Daylesford bowled Muckleford Maroon out for 85.

The wickets were shared between Brayden Slater, 4-16, John Villiers 2-11, Andrew Brown 2-19 and Robert Glen 2-14, while J Hodgson top scored with 22.
