BLACKWOOD got home against Koweinguboora in a high-scoring game on the weekend.
Blackwood won the toss and sent Koweinguboora in.
Koweinguboora hit a respectable 4/193 at the end of its 35 overs. Josh Cowan, 76 not out, and Josh Watt, 46 not out, put a good partnership together taking the score from 4/70 to 4/193.
Chris Adams contributed 35, while Al Salmon was Blackwood's most damaging bowler taking 3/39.
Blackwood had a good opening partnership of 90 runs between Steve O'Brien and Des Hepburn.
Blackwood got the runs with one over to spare.
The batsmen to do well for Blackwood were Steve O'Brien 84, Des Hepburn 42, Rob Whan 35 not out, and Al Salmon 23 not out. Shannon Mobbs took 2/63 for Koweinguboora.
In another game, Colts were home to Trentham and won the toss and batted. Colts were 7/181 at the end of their overs with Jason Mackley 57, Aaron Brereton 51 and Steve Thomas 18 not out doing the job with the bat, while Dean Crewther 3/32 and Dennis Thomas 2/12 did well for Trentham.
Trentham failed with the bat and was bowled out for 84 runs. Only Glen Jennings 27 and Dean Crewther 19 got among the runs runs. The wickets were shared by Steve Thomas 2/19, Stuart Schultz 2/3, Michael Cummings 2/22 and Finley MacDonald 2/34. In the Juniors, Daylesford was
away to Muckleford Maroon and were in trouble. The team was dismissed for 44 in 28 overs, with only Max Risstrom, 11, reaching double figures. J. Cross took 5/6 and five other bowlers took a wicket each for Muckleford. In reply, Muckleford are 0/27 off eight overs. The game continues
